SpinalStraiN was formed by Tani and Haatainen in 2007. At that time Tani & Haatainen had left another projects aside and were looking for new ones. Tani suggested Haatainen that they should ask Larkiola to play rhytm-guitars with them. Larkiola arrived to first rehearsals and played along nicely so Tani and Haatainen thought that this is the right guy. Mr. Kahila just "joined" the band.

We started writing some songs immediately. At that time reahearsing was very intensive and hard. Recordings of debut demo "Everyman's Struggle Against Everyman" strated in September 2007. The first demo was released in October 10th 2007.

After doing some some gigs we started to think about a demo which could push us further in the music-business. We came up with more heavier songs that we could imagine and that was the thing what we were looking for! Recordings started in July 2008 and the second demo was released in September 2008. That was the time when our producer Mikko Gynther decided not to record for us anymore. He just thought that it would just work and sound better in a better studio....

Post Mortis Demo is now finally complete!! Produced by ourselves and recorded by ourselves. The new theme "Post Mortis", literally means "after death". Sounds like a cliche´but we like it as it is. Now we are looking for some gigs...

After hard meditation and drinking, we decided to recruit another member to our band. We wanted to have something extra to our songs and we thought that a keyboardist would be a great choice and an opportunity. So we took Aleksi Kahri to the band.

After extreme meditation and drinking rituals we all came into one conclusion; keyboards were not the thing what we were looking for. So we kicked Kahri from the band.
